René Brunelle Provincial Park now has a rustic cabin available for rent starting this summer. The cabin was built in the fall of 2015 as part of a carpentry course that gave a group of Kashechewan First Nation students the opportunity to develop valuable construction skills.
This successful construction project is the result of a partnership between the following: Ontario Parks, Collège Boréal, Friends of René Brunelle Provincial Park, the Kashechewan Community, the Township of Moonbeam, the Town of Kapuskasing, the Hishkoonikun Education Authority, Eastview National Car Rental and Caisse Populaire of Kapuskasing.
The Cabin sleeps 5 people and is situated in a private area right on the shore of Remi Lake. To view a description of the cabin, visit: Roofed Accommodation René Brunelle Provincial Park. To rent the cabin online, go to Ontario Parks Reservation site and choose René Brunelle Provincial Park and Roofed Accommodation. You can also call the Park at (705) 367-2692 during the Summer hours, or 1-888-ONT-PARK.
